What’s the difference between the VR and Trophy series?

Are Bayliner boats good for saltwater in eastern NC?
The Trophy Series is built for it — fiberglass hull, marine-grade hardware, saltwater-rated materials. A lot of our Trophy customers fish the Pamlico Sound, the coastal rivers, and make runs to the inlets. The VR Series is fine for saltwater use too, just rinse it down after every trip like any boat. Don’t let anyone tell you Bayliner isn’t a saltwater boat — that’s outdated thinking about an older product line.
What Bayliner is best for the Pamlico Sound?
For fishing, the Trophy 20 or Trophy 22 are the most popular. The Sound can get choppy — if you’re running it regularly, the Trophy 24 at 22° deadrise handles the chop meaningfully better than the smaller models.
