What's the most popular fishing boat you sell?
The Sea Fox 228 Commander moves more than anything else on the lot. It's the right size for most eastern NC fishermen — handles the Sound, can run to inlets, fishes great, and trailers easy. The NauticStar 211 Hybrid is right behind it, especially for guys who want inshore versatility at a slightly lower price point.
What's the best boat for fishing the Pamlico Sound?
We put most Pamlico Sound customers in the Sea Fox 228 Commander, NauticStar 211 Hybrid, or the Carolina Skiff 21 LS. The Sound can get nasty — especially on an outgoing tide with northeast wind — so you want enough hull to handle it. All three are capable and still trailer and launch solo without issues. The 228 Commander is our top pick if budget allows.
Do any of your fishing boats have a bathroom?
Several do. The Sea Fox Traveler series has a walk-in enclosed head with a real marine toilet. Bayliner Trophy 20 and up have a head compartment. The Carolina Skiff 24 and 26 Ultra Elite have a porta potti in the flip-up console. Bulls Bay 200CC can be ordered with an optional porta potti.
