Avalanche Motorsports was founded in 2005 by brothers Todd and Austin Myers with a passion for powersports, boating, and everything outdoors. What began as a small operation in Bath, North Carolina quickly earned a reputation for honest service, fair pricing, and a no-pressure buying experience.

As the business grew, so did the vision. Boats were added to the lineup, followed by RVs and expanded powersports offerings. In 2018, Avalanche Motorsports moved into its current Washington, North Carolina location to better serve a rapidly growing customer base from across North Carolina and the East Coast.

Today, Avalanche Motorsports has become one of the region’s leading marine and powersports dealerships, helping customers nationwide enjoy boating, camping, fishing, trail riding, and the outdoor lifestyle.

We believe customers deserve honest answers, real product knowledge, and a team that helps them find what actually fits their needs — not just what someone wants to sell.

Our sales staff does not operate under high-pressure commission tactics. Instead, our focus is building long-term relationships through trust, consistency, and service after the sale. Many of our customers have been with us for years and continue returning because they know they will be treated fairly every time they walk through the door.

In 2026, Avalanche Motorsports entered a new chapter under the ownership of Brian Zimmerman, an entrepreneur with experience building businesses across technology, hospitality, real estate, and customer-focused industries.

From the beginning, the goal has been clear: preserve what made Avalanche Motorsports successful while continuing to invest in the future of the dealership. That means improving systems, expanding customer support, strengthening inventory and marketing capabilities, and helping the team continue to grow — all while keeping the same honest, customer-first culture that built the business in the first place.
